Welcome!

NEW STUDY MEETINGS BEGIN ON WEDNESDAY, SEPT 6 AT 10:00 AM (Eastern Daylight Time) THIS STUDY IS PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS AND MORE EXPERIENCED MEDITATORS!

WELCOME TO THE MINDFULNESS TREE MEDITATION COMMUNITY IN CHARLESTON, WV!

Why did we choose the name “The Mindfulness Tree?” First of all, we are all about mindfulness meditation education and practice. Secondly, part of our last name, “Baum,” means “tree” in German. Finally, our logo is the tree of life which reminds us of stability, rootedness, strength, growth, life, and shelter – all of the things that mindfulness brings to enhance and enrich our lives.

Mind Heart Matters! We provide mindfulness education and meditation practice in person and online to connect mind and heart.  From guest presentergroup meditation classes, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction,  and private/group instructor, we can help you find calm and peace and will help equip you with tools to deal with the stress of everyday life. We are located in the beautiful state of West Virginia in Kanawha City!

NEW 12 WEEK STUDY BEGINNING IN SEPTEMBER: We will gather again starting on September 6 (after Labor Day) on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. We will be reading Mark Coleman’s book, A Field Guide to Nature Meditation. An optional book for those new to meditation will be Bhante Gunaratana’s book, Start Here, Start Now: A Short Guide to Mindfulness Meditation. We will spend some time reflecting on the earth’s climate crisis from a perspective of mindfulness. You are invited to attend any or all sessions.
