WELCOME TO THE MINDFULNESS TREE MEDITATION COMMUNITY IN CHARLESTON, WV!

NEW: THE MINDFULNESS TREE WILL BEGIN A NEW IN-PERSON/ZOOM GROUP STARTING IN FEBRUARY. 

Learn Mindfulness Meditation with The Mindfulness Tree Meditation Community: Dr. Christine Blice-Baum will offer a 10-week Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners course beginning on Tuesday, February 6 through April 9 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Classes will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1600 Kanawha Blvd E., Charleston WV. This is a hybrid class – both in-person and Zoom. The course will be taught in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and will consist of welcome, opening meditation, walking meditation, discussion and closing meditation. Participants are asked to purchase the book: Beginning Mindfulness: Learning the Way of Awareness, by Andrew Weiss.

THE MINDFULNESS TREE COMMUNITY

Why did we choose the name “The Mindfulness Tree?” First of all, we are all about mindfulness meditation education and practice. Secondly, part of our last name, “Baum,” means “tree” in German. Finally, our logo is the tree of life which reminds us of stability, rootedness, strength, growth, life, and shelter – all of the things that mindfulness brings to enhance and enrich our lives.

Mind Heart Matters! We provide mindfulness education and meditation practice in person and online to connect mind and heart.  From guest presentergroup meditation classes, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction,  and private/group instructor, we can help you find calm and peace and will help equip you with tools to deal with the stress of everyday life. We are located in the beautiful state of West Virginia in Kanawha City!

The Mindfulness Tree meditation community is open to all! Our community began in September 2018 in Ponte Vedra, Florida, has been meeting virtually (on Zoom) since 2020 to explore and practice mindfulness meditation and its applications in daily life.
